Pastor John was born in Sri Lanka in 1949 to a Hindu family. His father was a Hindu priest. Pastor John learned about the Bible in 1969 and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in 1972. He joined the World Literature Crusade as a field evangelist until 1980. During this time, he lived as a nominal Christian, and in 1980, he resigned from his position to become an independent Christian minister with the Full Gospel Christian Fellowship. The Lord led him to preach the gospel to thousands in Sri Lanka, allowing him to bring many non-Christians to the Lord and establish numerous churches. God mightily used him, and he preached in many countries such as Europe, the United States, Malaysia, Singapore, and others. Unfortunately, in 1983, due to the ethnic riots, he lost all his belongings and faced significant hardships, including much persecution. After much prayer, Pastor John came to the U.S. and migrated to Canada as a refugee. God is mightily using him in the ministry of New Vision Living Word Ministries, performing miracles and wonders.
